About the event

The bilingual tour (in French and English), created and presented annually by John Cooper since 2014, features the key historical points of interest during the French era and the early settlement of Détroit. Historical narration is enhanced and accompained by the traditional French songs of the Straight.

Always a fun and informative afternoon, you'll experience a bit of old French Détroit and a few surprises, too! Come aboard and discover what life was like on the Détroit River in the 18th century.

Boarding the Diamond Belle begins at 3:45PM at the Stroh River Place Dock, 2680 Atwater Street, Detroit, MI 48207. Onboard snack and drink bar.
